Your baby's first months are a time of rapid growth, and our pediatricians provide attentive newborn care to help your little one thrive. Care often begins in the hospital, where one of our doctors can examine your baby if you deliver at Providence Tarzana or Cedars-Sinai. We typically recommend your first office visit two to three days after you go home. During well-baby visits, we check weight gain, feeding, sleep, jaundice, umbilical cord healing, and developmental milestones. We also provide recommended immunizations, including the Hepatitis B vaccine if it was not given at the hospital. Each appointment is an opportunity to ask questions and leave feeling reassured about your baby's health.
